all the very best to ISRO and Team Chandrayaan-I at shriharikota, as they gear up for the launch of india's moment in the moonlight- our very own moon mission !!! it's scheduled to go up up and away on 22nd this month, should there not be any cyclone threat...but i'm very upset about the fact that the indian media isn't giving any significant coverage to it....you see...that's where the US comes out tops...those guys know that one way to increase their own prominence in the world's eyes and to also increase national unity is to give good quality media coverage to things that actually matter....

I agree. We did give coverage... but it was all last minute. The fact that it is the cheapest ever mission to the moon says a lot about India's capabilities as space explorers. I am waiting for the day when we send a mannned mission.
I recently had the chance to converse with Rakesh Sharma-The first Indian man in space and he was excited too. He says it is the first step to colonizing the moon.
yeah...ISRO has already started cashing in on our remarkable and unique features of cost-effectiveness.you remember how they sent satellite payloads from around 5 countries recently....and to think about it, TOI geeks were instead wondering if we do need to send a moon mission at all..they say:"what's the need when 6 countries have already been there?"
